We both feel that there is no better way to spread joy than to share food. You’ll find lots of sweet and savory treats here that are perfect for bringing to work to reward your co-workers after a difficult week; cakes to celebrate a birthday, holiday, or just being awesome; and our occasional foray into savory meals.
Joanna is a shutterbug trying to make it in the magazine world. She has a love of colored mugs, aprons, creative oven mitts and IKEA. This summer she’ll be taking advantage of all the terrific free outdoor activities New York City has to offer, many of them involving food trucks, outdoor eateries and the wonderful Astoria Beergarden. She also hopes to tackle a cake-decorating class and beef up her food-styling skills.
Jessie loves to bake, but isn’t too keen on cooking “real” food. To try to force herself to eat more healthy foods she signed up for a CSA (community-supported agriculture) share. This summer she’ll be posting about her adventures trying to prepare a big box of vegetables each week. She’s also an avid cyclist and bike commuter. Just like in real life she’ll talk about bikes whenever possible.
We are inspired by our Grandmas (Nanas) and their love of the kitchen. This blog is dedicated to them.
